DURHAM, N.C. – After closing non-conference action this past week, the 11th-ranked Duke women's tennis team will hit the road this weekend to open ACC play at Virginia Tech, Sunday, Feb. 21 at 12 p.m. The match will be played at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center in Blacksburg, Va.
Duke (5-1) and Virginia Tech (2-3) will meet for the 26th time in school history with the Blue Devils leading the series, 23-2. In matches played in Blacksburg, Va., Duke holds an 8-1 ledger. The Blue Devils have won four straight matches in the series.
The Hokies enter the weekend with a 2-3 record, but are coming off a 5-2 victory over Xavier this past weekend. Virginia Tech's duo of Elizabet Danailova and Nika Kozar are currently ranked No. 58 in doubles.
Duke features six ranked singles student-athletes and one doubles team on the national list. No. 8

Karolina Berankova are 5-3 this spring, while No. 28
Georgia Drummy and No. 29
Chloe Beck are both 7-2. No. 44

A native of Cerritos, Calif., Chen became the 26th Blue Devil to reach the 100-win mark this past match against VCU with a 6-3, 6-4 win over 116th-ranked Paolo Diaz Delgado. Chen now owns a 100-26 overall record, while 41 of those wins have come against ranked opponents.
In doubles action, Beck and Berankova have paced the Blue Devils with an 8-1 overall record, including a seven-match win streak. Chen and Drummy also features a six-match win streak and have collected a 7-2 mark on the year. Dating back to last season, Duke has won 10 straight doubles points in dual matches.
Duke was slated to open ACC play at 14th-ranked Virginia on Feb. 19, but the match was postponed due to inclement weather. The match will be rescheduled for Saturday, March 27 at 1 p.m., in Charlottesville, Va.
Following Sunday's match, the Blue Devils will return home for four straight matches. Next up will be Louisville Saturday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m.
