DURHAM – The Duke swimming and diving etched over 50 career best times, 23 top-10 times in program history and 18 NCAA 'B' standard times at the Wolfpack Invitational in November to close out the fall portion of the 2021-22 campaign.Â

The 22nd-ranked Duke women are 4-0 entering 2022, the program's best since the 2015-16 season, while the men are 2-2. In the Wolfpack Invitational, the women placed third and the men fourth in the meet among five ranked programs.

Sophomore
Sarah Foley led the way for the Blue Devils, putting together a solid meet with four 'A' finals, four NCAA 'B' Standard times and three times that ranked in the top five in program history. A native of Philadelphia, Pa., Foley broke her own school record in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:08.30. She also recorded career best times in the medley events, clocking 1:56.40 in the 200 and 4:09.97 in the 400 individual medleys to place second and third in the all-time lists, respectively.

Foley's classmate
Catherine Belyakov also excelled in the meet, producing four times that ranked in the program record book. Belyakov's marks of 1:01.40 and 2:14.26 in the 100 and 200 breaststroke placed sixth and seventh in program history, respectively. In addition, her times in the 200 (1:58.76) and 400 individual medley (4:18.29) ranked sixth and 10th in Duke lore, respectively.

Freshman
Yixuan Chang also recorded top-10 times in three events at the Wolfpack Invitational. Chang, a native of Stamford, Conn., recorded times of 1:47.63 (fifth all-time at Duke) in the 200 freestyle and 4:43.79 (fourth all-time at Duke) in the 500 freestyle. Her time of 1:58.64 in the 200 butterfly placed eighth in program history.

For the men, junior
Brendan Driscoll registered two times that ranked in the program charts. Driscoll, a native of Tampa, Fla., touched in 15:21.26 in the 1,650 freestyle to improve his fourth-place time in program history. He also recorded a time of 4:26.62 in the 500 freestyle to place ninth at Duke.

Senior
Cole Reznick swam a 1:56.83 in the 200 breaststroke, good for fourth all-time at Duke. Reznick now holds times that rank in the top-10 in program history in a team-leading five events.

Sophomore
David Chang and freshman
Jack Christian each recorded times that placed them in the 100 backstroke record books. Chang finished in 48.56 for seventh all-time at Duke while Christian's 48.70 places him ninth.

In addition to the individual performances, three Duke relays etched their names in the program record books. The women's 200 medley relay team of junior

McKenna Smith placed fifth all-time at Duke (1:37.43) while Shuppert, Foley,
Yixuan Chang and Smith touched seventh all-time (3:36.63). On the men's side, junior
Coleman Kredich, junior
Charlie Gingrich, junior
Brad Sanford and sophomore
Zach McIntyre placed seventh all-time with a mark of 2:55.19 in the 400 freestyle relay.
Duke returns to action following the holiday break as it hosts Tennessee and Queens University of Charlotte on January 8, at Taishoff Aquatics Pavilion.
