Prior to joining the Blue Devils in 2020, Bourne was a member of the U16, U18 and U21 England National Teams. She captained the U16 squad and led her high school to a national title both indoor and outdoor. She went on to earn a bronze medal at the European Championship as a sophomore and a bronze medal at Six Nations her junior season. Before arriving in Durham, she totaled 54 junior international caps.
Β
England have been drawn in Group B of the tournament in Potchefstroom alongside Belgium β who they drew with at the Junior Europeans two years ago β as well as Canada and Uruguay, who finished first and second respectively in the Junior Pan Am Championships earlier this year.
After finishing seventh at the last edition in 2016, England hopes to improve on that and claim a maiden podium placing after narrowly missing out in fourth in 2009 and 2013.
