DURHAM – The Duke women's swimming and diving team has opened the young 2021-22 season with a 4-0 record, one of the best starts in program history. Â
Â
Duke's 4-0 record is the program's best since the 2015-16 season, marking just the fifth time in program history that the Blue Devils have opened the season with four consecutive dual meet wins.
Â
In Duke's fourth win of the season, a 199-101 defeat of Georgia Tech, freshman Yixuan Chang continued to shine. Chang went undefeated through three events on Saturday, highlighted by her time of 1:48.01 in the 200 freestyle. That mark placed seventh in program history.Â
Duke returns to action at the NC State/GAC Invitational at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C., November 18-20. The Blue Devils will be one of nine teams competing, joining NC State, Stanford, Penn State, Arizona State, Army, North Carolina, UNC Wilmington (diving only) and James Madison (diving only).
