The Opening Hit

- Boston College welcomes the Blue Devils to Newton Friday sporting a 9-5 overall mark and 1-3 record in the ACC. The Eagles are coming off a pair of losses to Louisville and Saint Joseph's over the weekend. BC's other ACC victory was at Virginia. The Eagles started the year 6-0, but have lost four of their past six outings.
- BC is averaging 2.14 goals per game and is led on offense by Sarah Johnson with five goals and five assists for 15 points. Milagros Arteta has a team-best six goals. The Eagles are averaging 6.5 penalty corners and 14.6 shots per game.
- On the defensive end of the field, the Eagles have allowed 28 goals for a 1.87 goals against average. They rank second in the ACC behind Duke in saves per game at 4.36. Jonna Kennedy has started the past 12 games and owns a 1.99 goals against average and a .676 save percentage. She recently was named the U.S. U-21 National Team.

Crouse Named to U21 U.S. National Team
- Senior Leah Crouse was among the 18 players selected to the U.S. U21 National Team as announced by USA Field Hockey Monday. Crouse will travel with the United States to the 2021 FIH Hockey Women's Junior World Cup in Potchefstroom, South Africa December 5-16.
- Crouse is one of four players from the ACC selected to the team. She will be joined by two players from Boston College - Jonna Kennedy and Sky Caron.
Clouser Clicking
- Rookie Logan Clouser is firing on all cylinders for the Duke offense. She has 10 points in the past six games, registering at least one point in five of them. She did not have a single point in the first eight games of her collegiate career.
- Clouser registered her first career points with a goal and an assist at William & Mary. She has three goals and an assist in the past five outings.
Bustin Nears 300
- In her 25th season as a head coach, Pam Bustin holds a 298-211 career record. Bustin got her start at Hofstra before spending 13 years at Louisville. She joined the Blue Devil family in 2011 and has amassed a 136-83 mark at the helm of the program. She's the second winningest coach in program history behind Jacki Silar (162).
