DURHAM – The Duke women's swimming and diving program is ranked No. 24 in the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America TYR preseason poll, the organization announced on Thursday.Â

Duke was ranked in the CSCAA preseason poll for the fourth consecutive season. The Blue Devils are one of seven ACC schools in the women's top-25, joining Virginia (1), NC State (3), Louisville (13), North Carolina (15), Virginia Tech (18) and Notre Dame (25).

The Duke women return three honorable mention All-Americans from last season in
Maddi Pullinger (one-meter diving),
Emma Shuppert (100 backstroke) and
Ali Watson (platform diving). In addition, three school record holders also return to the squad,
Melissa Pish (200 freestyle), Shuppert (100 backstroke) and
Sarah Foley (200 breaststroke).

Duke opens the 2021-22 campaign at No. 12/18 Virginia Tech on Friday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. The meet will be at Christiansburg Aquatics Center in Blacksburg, Va.
