DURHAM, N.C. – Over the past couple weeks, Duke softball has checked in with its six incoming freshmen who had their high school senior seasons cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our next recruit check-in is with
Frankie Frelick – a catcher/utility player from Massachusetts.
As a recruit, what was it like for you to see Duke's success this season?
Frankie: "Seeing Duke's success this year has been so awesome. It's been really motivational to me that, only as a third-year program, they proved that they can compete with any team and I just can't wait to be a part of it."
What are you most excited for about coming to Duke?
Frankie: "I'm really excited to come down to Duke and take a variety of courses to broaden my horizons. But more importantly, I'm really excited to represent not only the softball program but Duke University as a whole."
Have you picked up any new hobbies while in quarantine?
Frankie: "During quarantine, I've picked up a new hobby…I taught myself how to juggle!"
