Q+A with Charlotte:
Q: What was your degree?
Tucci: I was a Sociology major with a Visual & Media Studies Minor and a Markets & Management Certificate.
Q: What is your current occupation?
Tucci: I work at Morgan Stanley on a Wealth Management team.
Q: Do you have any fun hobbies?
Tucci: Reading has become a new hobby of mine. I'm a big fan of Reese Witherspoon's book club.
Q: What is your favorite athletic memory?
Tucci: My favorite athletic memory was beating Notre Dame in the ACC tournament my senior year. This was the most important game of the season for us. We knew we had to come out with a win, and we did just that. We fought hard as the underdogs, stayed focus, and played for each other during those 60 minutes. The feeling of extreme pride that I had after that game is something that I will hold on to forever. It was a special moment for our team -- I was so proud of us.
Q: What was one thing that you picked up or did following your athletic career?
Tucci: I recently started boxing and I love it. It's such a fun workout!
Q: Is there a phrase or advice you value most from Coach Kerstin?
Tucci: I learned many lessons from Ker, but the one phrase that I value most is "be where your feet are." It was important to find balance during my life as a student-athlete, so this saying always helped me re-focus and re-center my energy. Ker taught me the importance of being present in each of life's moments. This lesson goes far beyond the lacrosse field and is one that I will always value.
Q: If you could go back in time to the beginning of your freshman year, what is one piece of advice you would tell yourself?
Tucci: I would go back and tell my freshman year self to not sweat the small stuff. Freshman year is all about learning from the girls above you, improving your game, and having fun while doing it.
Q: What does it mean to you to be an alumna of Duke Women's Lacrosse?
Tucci: Being part of the DWL family means so much to me. From watching my older sister, Emma, wear her Duke blue jersey, to building relationships with the absolute best teammates, to everything in between, I have and always will hold the "Duke Lax Love" mantra close to my heart.
