Over the next few weeks, GoDuke.com and @DukeMGOLF will run a series of features on the favorite holes for each member of the Duke men's golf team. The players and coaches were asked to pick the three favorite holes they've ever played and provide a scouting report on how best to attack them. Be sure to check @DukeMGOLF on Twitter on Instagram each Thursday to cast your vote on each of our players' dream holes!

Evan Katz has the honors for this week's Dream Course series as the Washington, D.C. native goes across the nation for his three favorite holes. Katz tees us off with the challenging par-4 14th at the Witch Hollow course at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in Portland, Ore., then brings us east for the par-3 10th at the Congressional Blue Course in Bethesda, Md., before bouncing back to the west coast for the picturesque par-4 14th at Cypress Point in Pebble Beach, Calif.
Katz's #1 Favorite Hole: 14th Hole at Pumpkin Ridge GC -- Witch Hollow Course (Portland, Ore.) -- 470 yards -- Par 4
In Katz's words: "This is a long par-4 with a slight dog leg left downhill off the tee. Trying to cut more off the dog leg brings a hazard left into play. Water guards the front of the green, with hazard just long of the green, so distance control is paramount on the approach. Ideally, I don't get too aggressive off the tee because coming into the green out of the fairway is more important than cutting distance off."
Katz's #10 Favorite Hole: 10th Hole at Congressional GC -- Blue Course (Bethesda, Md.) -- 218 yards -- Par 3
In Katz's words:Â "This long downhill par-3 has water guarding the left, front and right of the green. A bail out long leaves an extremely difficult bunker shot running toward the water. This hole is special because it forces you to pick a very committed plan before stepping in. The best way to play here is to aim for the center of the green and get out of there with a par."
Katz's #3 Favorite Hole: 14th Hole at Cypress Point GC (Pebble Beach, Calif.) -- 393 yards -- Par 4
In Katz's words: "This is a unique par-4 that requires a 240-yard shot off the tee, leaving you an uphill approach into a green that falls off hard on the right and has trees guarding the left side. While it is a great golf hole, the scenery here is what makes the hole amazing. You've got the Pacific Ocean on the right, with low hanging trees defining the hole down both sides of the fairway."
