DURHAM, N.C. – No. 24 Duke men's tennis is heading south for spring break, playing three matches in Florida. The Blue Devils start at North Florida on Tuesday before heading to No. 25 Florida State on Friday and will close out the week with Miami on Sunday.

Ramsey Smith and the team enter the week with a 12-2 record after dropping a 4-3 decision at No. 14 Wake Forest last Wednesday.
HISTORY WITH NORTH FLORIDA
This will be just the second meeting between the two programs as Duke and North Florida played for the first time on March 13, 1985. The Blue Devils lead the all-time series, 1-0, as Duke picked up a 9-0 victory on its home courts.
SCOUTING THE OSPREYS
The Ospreys have opened their 2020 campaign with a 7-1 record after a 2-1 weekend in Charlotte. While in the Queen City, UNF was edged by Charlotte, 4-3, but bounced back two wins over Georgia State (4-3) and Appalachian State (4-1) on Saturday.
HISTORY WITH FLORIDA STATE
Duke leads the all-time series with Florida State, 30-16. The Seminoles have taken four of the last five matches with the Blue Devils' last win on March 31, 2017 at home (5-2). The last time Duke picked up a victory in Tallahassee was with a 5-2 win on April 4, 2014.
SCOUTING THE SEMINOLES
In the latest Oracle/ITA rankings announced on March 3, the Seminoles checked in one spot behind the Blue Devils at No. 25. Florida State enters Friday's matchup with an 11-4 record after splitting matches last week, blanking Clemson (4-0) before being shut out by Miami (4-0). FSU has two players recognized in the ITA singles rankings with Alex Knaff at No. 74 and Rana-Roop Singh Bhular at No. 109.
HISTORY WITH MIAMI
Heading into Sunday's match, the all-time series between the Blue Devils and Canes is tied at 24-all. Miami snapped Duke's nine-match win streak (2011-17) in 2018 as the Canes have edged the Blue Devils in the last two, winning 4-3.
SCOUTING THE CANES
Checking in at No. 31 in the latest rankings, Miami enters the week with a 10-2 record after a 4-0 feat over Florida State on Sunday. Ahead of their contest with Duke on Sunday, the Canes will play North Carolina on Friday afternoon. Miami has two doubles team featured in the ITA rankings with France Aubone/Benjamin Hannestad at No. 23 and Adria Soriano Barrera/Francisco Bastias at No. 56 while Barrera is the lone Miami player in the singles rankings (39th).
UP NEXT
Following its week in the Sunshine State, Duke returns to Durham for a four-match homestand, beginning with Clemson on March 20 and Georgia Tech on March 22 for Alumni Weekend. Friday's match is set for a 6 p.m. start while Sunday's will begin at 2 p.m.
