DURHAM, N.C. – Duke wrestling will head to Pittsburgh, Pa., for the 2020 ACC Wrestling Championship at Petersen Events Center on Sunday.
The ACC Network and ACC Network Extra will combine to carry Sunday's action. The 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. rounds will be streamed by ACCNX, while the ACC Network plans a live broadcast of the 7 p.m. finals. Tickets to the event at Petersen Events Center are $10 for adults and $5 for youth (18 and under).
Â
Six of the eight wrestlers competing for the Blue Devils at the 2020 ACC Championships will be at their first conference tournament, with junior
Harrison Campbell and redshirt sophomore
Benjamin Anderson being the only returners.
Â
Despite this being his first full year in the Duke Blue and White,
Mason Eaglin has quickly become Duke's leader on the mat. Eaglin has compiled an overall record of 20-10 and holds a 9-8 mark in dual action, while recording 32 of Duke's 79 points this season (41 percent of the team's scoring). He is also the only Duke wrestler to take down a ranked opponent this season and currently sits at 3-2 against ranked foes.
Â
After missing much of January due to injury, Anderson has contributed on the mat for the Blue Devils over their last five duals. He had gone a mere 1-11 over his opening 12 matches, with three losses by way of medical forfeit. Since February started though, Anderson has gone 4-1 over his five duals, and dropped his lone loss to No. 9 Tanner Skidgel (Navy) by a hard-fought 5-3 decision.
