Setting the Scene...
   After being at home for three straight contests, the Duke women's basketball team (12-10, 6-5 ACC) will hit the road for Coral Gables, Fla., as the Blue Devils will face Miami (12-10, 4-7 ACC) Sunday, Feb. 9 at 2 p.m., in the Watsco Center.
   The game will be aired live on the ACC Network with Jenn Hildreth (PXP) and LaChina Robinson (Color) calling the action. It will also be carried on the Duke Sports Network via WDNC AM 620, TuneIn app and www.GoDuke.com with Chris Edwards (PXP) on the air beginning at 1:45 p.m. (ET).
What is Next?...
   Duke will close a two-game road swing at Pittsburgh Sunday, Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. The game will be aired live on the ACC Network. Â

Strength of Schedule...
   The Blue Devils feature the fifth-toughest schedule nationally -- Oklahoma (1), Virginia (2), Ohio State (3), Missouri (4) and Duke (5) round out the top five. Â
   Duke's five non-conference losses in 2019-20 came against teams that have collected a combined 96-18 record. Â
   The Blue Devils are currently ranked No. 40 in the latest RPI.

   •   Duke has won five out of the last seven and three out of the last four contests. Â
   •   The Blue Devils have been outrebounded in five out of the last seven games.
   •   In her first career meeting with Miami,
Miela Goodchild collected 13 points, four steals, three rebounds and two assists. She drained 3-of-4 three-pointers in 31 minutes. Â

Haley Gorecki has averaged 23.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.0 steals the last two contests. She has hit 15-of-30 field goals and 6-of-12 three-pointers. Â

Miela Goodchild has scored 14 points over the last four games, including only two in the last two contests. She has taken only two shots the last two games and played a season-low four minutes against UNC.
   •   Over the last five games,
Jade Williams has hit 15-of-26 field goals for a 57.7 percentage. Â

Haley Gorecki averaged 36.1 minutes a contest last season and is averaging 36.3 minutes in 2019-20. She would become the first Blue Devil to average 35.0 minutes or more in back-to-back seasons. Â
   •   Duke trailed, 40-33, heading into the fourth quarter against Notre Dame and rallied for a 50-47 victory. It was the Blue Devils' largest comeback in the fourth quarter since the NCAA moved to the quarter system in 2015-16. Â

Haley Gorecki currently ranks second in the ACC with 115 made free throws and fourth with 135 attempts, while ranking third with an 85.2 free throw percentage. Her 115 free throws made ranks 11th nationally.
   •   For the fifth time this season, Duke had five players hit at least one three-pointer against Virginia Tech. The Blue Devils also accomplished this against High Point and Boston College. Duke had not featured five different players hitting a trey since the 2014-15 campaign when it did it twice. The Series with Miami..
   Duke and Miami will meet for the 19th time in school history with the Blue Devils leading the series, 14-4. The Hurricanes have won two straight contests in the series.
   In games played in Coral Gables, Fla., Duke has collected a 5-3 mark, including two consecutive losses.
   Coach P owns a 10-5 record versus the Hurricanes.
Blue Devils to Face Alum...
   Duke will battle former Blue Devil All-America Katie Meier for the 18th time as a head coach on Sunday. Meier, who is in her 15th year as Miami's head coach, also faced the Blue Devils on Nov. 29, 2001, when she was at the helm of Charlotte, and the last 14 years as the Hurricanes' coach. In the contest versus Charlotte, Duke won 64-39 in Charlotte, N.C. Â
   The Blue Devils own a 13-4 overall record against Meier on the opposing sideline.
      Meier, who ranks seventh on Duke's all-time scoring list with 1,761 points, was inducted into the Hall of Honor in 2002. She was the 1986 ACC Rookie of the Year and a Basketball Yearbook Freshman All-America. She was a letterwinner in 1986, '87, '89 and '90 for the Blue Devils.
Odom Against the Hurricanes...
   In four career games against Miami, senior
Leaonna Odom has scored double-digits in all four, while averaging 11.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.0 blocks and 1.5 steals. She has hit 54.0 percent of her field goals in the contests.

Kyra Lambert

   Lambert had a season-high 13 points against NC State and hit a season-high three three-pointers on nine attempts. She added nine points versus UNC.
Boykin Big Against UNC...

Mikayla Boykin came off the bench to play a season-high 31 minutes against North Carolina, while collecting 11 points, a season-high six rebounds, a season-high five assists and one steal to help lead Duke to the victory.
   She had been limited to under 20 minutes in January but her minute restriction was lifted in February.
   Boykin has scored double-digits five games this season in 10 games. Â
Tight League Games...
   Duke has been so close in ACC play but has not been able to close out five of the games. Â
   Seven of Duke's 11 ACC games have been decided by six points or less, which tied a Duke record (1995-96 and 1988-89).
   The 1988-89 season all occurred during the regular season, but all other seasons included games played in the ACC Tournament.
   Duke has lost five ACC games by a combined 19 points. All five of the losses have been within five points. Â
On the Road in 2019-20...
   Duke has collected a 2-7 record on the road in 2019-20, but is coming off an 88-58 victory at Syracuse. Â
   The Blue Devils have averaged 62.2 points, while giving up 68.9 points. Duke has averaged 20.2 turnovers a game.
   In those contests,
Haley Gorecki has averaged 16.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.1 steals. Over the last four games, Gorecki has averaged 20.5 points, 6.5 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 2.8 steals.

Odom Named National Player of the Week...
   Senior
Leaonna Odom earned ACC Player of the Week and USBWA National Player of the Week for the first time in her four-year career for her efforts against Clemson and Syracuse. She averaged 19.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals on the week. She hit 76.0 percent of her field goals in the two contests.
Tough Defense...
   In ACC contests, Duke's defense has been among the best in the conference in a number of key categories.
   In 11 league games, Duke's defense ranks in the top five in scoring defense (4th, 60.27), field goal percentage defense (3rd, 37.1), steals (1st, 11.00) and three-point field goal percentage defense (1st, 26.4).
Double-Doubles/20-Point Games...

Haley Gorecki owns five double-doubles on the season, which ranks tied for ninth in the ACC. She also ranks fourth with eight games with 20 or more points.
   Over the last two years, Gorecki has notched 19 games with 20 or more points, which is the most in the ACC.

Best All-Around Player...
   No Duke player has averaged at least 17.0 points, 3.0 assists and 6.0 rebounds in back-to-back seasons.
Haley Gorecki averaged 17.2 points, 3.9 assists, and 7.1 rebounds last year and is averaging 18.3 points, 4.2 assists and 6.6 rebounds this year.
   Alana Beard came closest to these thresholds, averaging 19.8 points, 4.4 assists, and 6.1 rebounds in her sophomore year and 22.0 points, 3.0 assists, and 6.9 rebounds her junior year.
      At Clemson, Gorecki totaled 16 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and three steals. It marked her second time over the last two years she has notched all-around numbers like this (16 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and three steals vs. Pitt on Feb. 3, 2019). She is one of only three Duke players to register numbers like this since the 2011 campaign -- Lexie Brown (twice), Jasmine Thomas.

   She ranks 15th in rebounds (6.73), ninth in field goal percentage (45.1), fifth in free throw percentage (82.8), ninth in three-point field goals made (2.2), third in minutes played (38.05), second in minutes played (38.17) and fifth in three-point percentage (36.9).
   Gorecki also ranks tied for sixth in assists (4.7) and second in steals (2.6).
Tough Non-Conference Slate...
   Of Duke's 11 non-conference opponents in 2019-20, nine of those have winning records. Overall, the Blue Devil opponents have combined for a 171-66 mark so far through Feb. 7.
