October 26
2003 – Women's Golf – With rounds of 276 and 276 for a two-day ledger of 552, the Blue Devils won the ACC/SEC Challenge. The final round was rained out. Liz Janangelo shot a school-record 36-hole total of 134 on her way to winning the individual title.
2005 – Men's Basketball – USA Basketball Men's Senior National Team program Managing Director Jerry Colangelo officially announced that Basketball Hall of Fame coach and Duke University head coach Mike Krzyzewski as the head coach of the USA Basketball Men's Senior National Team program. Krzyzewski's selection was approved by USA Basketball's Executive Committee, with his initial term running from 2006 to 2008. "Mike Krzyzewski is the right man at the right time," said Colangelo, who was appointed Managing Director of the USA Basketball Men's Senior National Team program on April 27, 2005. "His professional record speaks for itself. His loyalty and commitment to his country is more than self-evident and his success as a leader of men is also a part of who he is."
2016 – Field Hockey – Following a 3-0 shutout over fourth-ranked North Carolina, Duke field hockey was tabbed No. 1 in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I Coaches Poll for the first time in program history. At the time, head coach Pam Bustin's squad held a 14-2 overall record with a 5-1 mark in conference play.
2017 – Women's Soccer – Duke collected a 1-0 victory on the road at 10th-ranked Virginia to clinch its third ACC regular season title in program history. Kat McDonald notched a goal in the 87th minute for the game-winner as the Blue Devils won their 17th straight contest.
October 27
2003 – Men's Basketball –Mike Krzyzewski and his wife, Mickie, announced a $1 million gift to the University to become partners in the Duke Basketball Legacy Fund. The gift fully endowed an annual scholarship for a captain on the basketball team in honor of Coach K's brother, Bill Krzyzewski, a retired captain of the Chicago Fire Department.
2011 – Women's Soccer – The Duke women's soccer team did something only one other Blue Devil squad had done before as they claimed the ACC regular season title with a 1-0 victory over N.C. State at Dail Soccer Field. Kaitlyn Kerr collected the winning goal, while Tara Campbell earned the shutout in goal for the Blue Devils.
2014 – Women's Soccer – Head coach Robbie Church collected his 350th all-time victory with a 2-1 overtime win over Boston College at Koskinen Stadium in Durham, N.C. Toni Payne netted the winning goal in overtime to give the Blue Devils the victory.
2017 – Women's Cross Country – Freshmen runners Michaela Reinhart and Amanda Beach garnered All-ACC honors after placing 16th and 17th, respectively, at the ACC Cross Country Championships in Louisville, Ky. Both competitors set new personal-best times in the 6K, with Reinhart coming in at 20:32.4 and Beach clocking a mark of 20:35.0. As the first true freshman to finish the race, Reinhart picked up ACC Freshman of the Year status as well.
October 28
2018 – Women's Golf – The Blue Devils won the Landfall Tradition with rounds of 297, 297 and 285 for a three-day total of 879. Duke carded a Sunday-best three-under, 285, to catapult into the lead late in the round, after entering the final round down by nine strokes. The Blue Devils passed second round leader, Arkansas, and concluded with a two-shot victory at the 6,166-yard, par 72 Country Club of Landfall Dye Course. Duke's Virginia Elena Carta and Gina Kim finished the weekend tied for first, individually, with an even-par, 216.
2019 – Women's Golf – Led by a five-under-par ledger over her final seven holes, Duke senior Ana Belac earned co-medalist accolades and the Blue Devils received the No. 1 overall seed at the 2019 East Lake Cup, which was played at historic East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Ga.
October 29
2017 – Women's Golf – With rounds of 283, 271 and 285 for a 54-hole total of 562, the Blue Devils won the Landfall Tradition.
October 31
2004 – Women's Golf – Duke won the ACC/SEC Challenge with rounds of 294, 284 and 278 for a three-day ledger of 856. Duke came from 15 strokes back with 18 holes remaining and claimed a one-stroke victory over second-ranked Auburn at the 5,937-Yard, Par 71The Raven Course in Sandestin, Fla. Liz Janangelo shot a NCAA-record round of 62 in the final round. She collected nine birdies and no bogeys on her way to finishing tied for second in the individual competition with a three-day total of 210, three-under-par.
2018 – Men's Golf – Duke's senior stepped up in the anchor match at the East Lake Cup as Shrish Dwivedi drained a nine-foot birdie putt on the 18th to close out his match 2-up and clinch a victory for No. 3 Duke over No. 1 Oklahoma State, 3-2. The win for the Blue Devils came in the consolation match of the 2018 East Lake Cup, which brought together the four semifinalists from the previous season's NCAA Golf Championship. The Cowboys were the reigning champions.
2019 – Women's Golf – Duke women's golf team was presented with the fifth annual Tom Cousins Award at the East Lake Cup. The honor recognizes a collegiate golfer(s) best representing the values of the award: excelling in academics and engagement in the community.
November 1
2013 – Cross Country – Both the men's and women's cross country teams had some memorable performances at the ACC Championships held in Kernersville, N.C., highlighted by graduate student Juliett Bottorff capturing the individual title in her final conference championship appearance. Bottorff finished her 6K with a time of 20:05.9 to become Duke's third ACC individual cross country champion and first since 2005. In the men's race, junior Shaun Thompson clocked an 8K time of 24:07.7 to finish fourth overall and earn All-ACC honors.
