DURHAM, N.C. – With the new year here, Duke women's lacrosse head coach Kerstin Kimel announced the Blue Devil's 2020 slate on Friday.
The 17-game regular season spans from February 7 to April 18. The schedule features eight contests against opponents who were selected to the 2019 NCAA Championship field, including three of the four semifinalists with North Carolina, Boston College and Northwestern.
Koskinen Stadium will host 11 games, including three ACC tilts against Virginia, Boston College and Louisville. Duke will travel to ACC foes Notre Dame, Virginia Tech and North Carolina while meeting Syracuse in Prosper, Texas.
Duke kicks off the season with Gardner-Webb, beginning a six-game non-conference streak highlighted by contests at home versus Northwestern and George Washington and on the road against Navy and William & Mary. The Blue Devils host four non-conference opponents amid conference play, as East Carolina, Penn, Elon and High Point visit Durham in March and April.
The Tar Heels will host the 2020 ACC Championship April 22, 24 and 26 in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Kimel's squad returns 26 letterwinners from the 2019 season.
