DURHAM, N.C. – Head coach
Chris Pollard and the Duke baseball program are excited to a partnership with the All In All the Time Foundation, assisting the families of the Special Operations community.
The two entities will hold a Baseball Skills Clinic Saturday Oct. 19, 2019, at Jack Coombs Field, running from 8 a.m. to noon. The four-hour clinic will feature fundamental instruction in the areas of pitching, catching, infield/outfield, hitting and baserunning. The camp will be staffed exclusively by members of the Duke baseball staff along with current players.
The cost of attendance is $50, which includes instruction, a t-shirt, camp water bottle and lunch. All proceeds raised from the camp will go to support the All In All the Time Foundation, which is run by retired Navy Seal Commander, Jon Fussell.
Immediately following the camp, Duke will host its first exhibition matchup of the fall, welcoming N.C. Central to Jack Coombs for a 1 p.m. first pitch. All participating players and their families are invited to stay and enjoy the game free of charge.
The All In All the Time Foundation was established in 2008 as a tribute to the memory of SOCS Tom Valentine. While his greatest love was his family, Valentine's passion was serving his country. Valentine was an elite warrior who lived his life in accordance with the special operator's code. The organization was started as a way to honor Valentine by keeping his sacrifice and the sacrifices of all of his fallen brothers at the forefront of America's conscious.
