DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke women's lacrosse program and head coach Kerstin Kimel welcome to campus Tuesday 11 new Blue Devils ahead of the 2019-20 academic year.
Student-athletes in the group of incoming freshmen hail from Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Virginia.
“We are excited to finally welcome the Class of 2023 to campus this week," Kimel said. "These 11 young women, who hail from six different states, are poised to make a tremendous and immediate impact on our program. They are highly skilled, seasoned and competitive on the lacrosse field, where they have led their respective high school teams to league, regional and state championships this year. Each are also incredibly talented and hard-working students who will make the most of their opportunities to learn and grow both in the classroom and through other academic endeavors offered at Duke.
We could not be more proud to welcome each of them and their families into our Duke lacrosse family and the greater Duke Athletics and university community.”
