DURHAM, N.C.— Former Duke women's golf standouts turned in an outstanding 2019 campaign on the LPGA and Symetra Tours. This included both Celine Boutier and Yu Liu in the final pairing of the 2019 U.S. Women's Open.
Here is a breakdown of how the Blue Devils performed on the tours.

Laetitia Beck
Duke (2011-14)

In her fifth year as a professional golfer, Laetitia Beck has made appearances in both LPGA and Symetra Tour events. She earned $19,281 on the LPGA Tour this year and $48,635 on the Symetra Tour, adding to her total LPGA career earnings of $297,609. Her driving accuracy on the Symetra Tour was 73.91 percentage, and she featured a scoring average of 70.43, which ranked sixth. On the Symetra Tour, she completed 207 holes under par in 2019, with 37 rounds under par, which ranked her third. Beck collected 200 birdies and seven eagles, which placed her in fourth place for this mark. On both tours, she played a combined 24 events. Beck finished T-20th or higher in her 12 of her Symetra appearances, including five top-10 finishes. Her highest finish was at the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship, where she finished tied for fifth at nine-under-par. Beck finished her year at the Symetra Tour Championship, where she shot eight-under during round two for her lowest round of the year. Over four rounds, she ended eight shots under par to finish T-20th.
Celine Boutier

Celine Boutier continues to succeed on the LPGA circuit, earning a total of $760,430 in 2019 to add to her career earnings of $1,080,007. She ranked 21st in driving accuracy with a 77.92 percentage and 11th in sand saves at 55.77 percent. In 2019, Boutier played 328 holes under par, which ranked her 24th, and tallied 324 birdies and four eagles. She made the cut in all 13 tournaments she played since July, finishing T-25th or better in six of these appearances. In the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic, she ended 21-under, her best under-par final ledger of 2019, after finishing 66, 69, 67 and 65 over four days. Boutier's best finish since the late summer came at the AIG Women's British Open, which began August 1. She shot six-under, 66, in the second and fourth rounds to finish 12-under-par and sixth overall.
Boutier was selected to play for Team Europe in the Solheim Cup, where she helped her team secure a 14 ½ to 13 ½ victory over Team USA. She took the greens in Scotland with England's Georgia Hall in Rounds One,
Three, and Four, and the duo swept their American opponents. Boutier finished her first Solheim Cup appearance with a perfect record, complementing her doubles victories with an individual win over American Annie Park in Round Five.
She opened her 2019 season with her first LPGA win at the ISPS Handa Vic Open with a seven-under-par score.
Lindy Duncan

Lindy Duncan, a veteran professional golfer, began her seventh year as a professional golfer in 2019. She earned $130,654, adding to her total earnings of $971,470. Duncan featured a driving accuracy of 72.54 percent, a greens-in-regulation mark of 71.35 percent, and a scoring average of 71.99. She played 209 subpar holes, with 206 birdies, three eagles, and a hole in one. Duncan made the cut in 13 of her 25 appearances in 2019, with her best finish coming in July at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational. She finished T-24th with a score of 11-under-par, after firing rounds of 72, 64, 67 and 66 over the four days.
Brittany Lang

A true veteran on the LPGA Tour, Brittany Lang finished her 14th season on the Tour in 2019. She features an impressive career winnings of $6,938,952, with $154,858 earned during her 2019 performance. Lang played 197 subpar holes, featuring 195 birdies, two eagles, and 10 rounds in the 60's. She had a driving accuracy of 69.12 percent, a sand saves percentage of 50.69, and a scoring average of 71.95. In her final eight tournaments since late June, Lang made the cut in six of those tournaments, resulting in a total of 13 cuts made in 2019. Lang had her highest finish of the year in her last tournament, the Volunteers of America Classic in October. She placed T-16th, finishing five-under-par after carding rounds of 70, 73, 68 and 68 over the four days.
Yu Liu

Yu Liu had a successful second year as a member of the LPGA Tour, earning $880,048 to add to her career winnings of $1,344,395. Her earnings in 2019 placed her 20th on the official money list. Liu had a top 20 or higher ranking in 10 of the statistics categories in the LPGA rankings, including an average driving distance of 269.36, which ranked 18th, and a greens-in-regulation mark which placed her second. She completed 399 subpar holes, which ranked her third, with 390 birdies and nine eagles, which ranked her third and 12th, respectively. Liu also featured a driving accuracy of 72.94 percent and a scoring average of 70.37. In 28 appearances, Liu made the cut in 26, with 12 of these coming since late June. Her second-best finish in 2019 came recently at the Buick LPGA Shanghai tournament, where she placed T-3rd. Liu completed four rounds with scores of 76, 66, 68 and 65 for a 13-under, 275. She turned in back-to-back tied for fifth finishes at the U.S. Women's Open and ShopRite LPGA Classic.
Symetra Tour
Leona Maguire

Leona Maguire has followed up her first year on the Symetra Tour with another strong performance in 2019. Her $92,517 earnings placed her seventh on the official money list, resulting in a total career earnings of $120,760. By finishing in the top 10, Maguire earned her 2020 LPGA Tour card.
Maguire featured a driving accuracy of 80.84 percent, which ranked 11th, and a scoring average of 70.60, which ranked ninth. She played 182 holes subpar, including 179 birdies, three eagles, and 20 rounds in the 60's. In her 16 appearances in 2019, she made the cut in 14, finishing T-16th or better in nine tournaments. Earlier this fall, Maguire finished T-5th at the IOA Golf Classic, ending three rounds at six shots under par.
In her final appearance of the year, Maguire competed in the Symetra Tour Championship. With a six-under finish, Maguire carded a 70.5 scoring average to finish at T-33rd. She collected wins at the Symetra Classic and Windsor Golf Classic.
Alexandra Cangrejo

Alexandra Cangrejo finished her fifth year in the professional golf circuit with two appearances on the Symetra Tour. She featured a scoring average of 74.75 and an average driving distance of 254.38. In her nine subpar holes, Cangrejo tallied eight birdies and one eagle. Cangrejo finished her best round earlier this year at the Valley Forge Invitational, shooting two-over in the first round. Her other appearance at the PHC Classic featured a 75.5 scoring average.
Sandy Choi

In her second year on the Symetra Tour, Sandy Choi earned $9,611 to add to her total career earnings of $26,513. Her driving accuracy of 84.91 percent ranked an impressive third on the Symetra Tour. Choi completed 127 subpar holes, with 126 birdies, one eagle, and seven rounds in the 60's. She competed in 22 tournaments in 2019, making the cut in eight of these appearances. At the PHC Classic in August, Choi finished her lowest round, shooting five-under-par. Her highest finish in 2019, T-14th, came in late September at the IOA Golf Classic. Choi shot two 69, 72 and 69 across three rounds to finish three shots under par.
