Duke Men Add Another to 2020 Recruiting Class

DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke men's track & field team added another member to its 2020 high school recruiting class, receiving a commitment from Danny Collins.

Collins, a native of Newton, Mass., comes to Duke from Newton South High School, where he was a Massachusetts state meet outdoor silver medalist and indoor bronze medalist in the high jump as a junior. He owns a personal-best clearance of 6-8.25.

"Danny is a talented jumper and strong student who comes from an athletic family and is a wonderful fit for Duke," high jump coach Jan Ogilvie said. "His enthusiasm for both Duke University and our jump group is high, and we expect a highly successful career for Danny in Durham."
