DURHAM, N.C. – Senior two-way player Jack Labosky has been named to the 14th Annual National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Midseason Watch List as announced by the organization Thursday.
Labosky is one of 41 players on the list for the award which honors the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I baseball. He is one of four representatives from the ACC, joining Louisville's Sam Bordner, Clemson's Ryley Gilliam and NC State's Joe O'Donnell.
Labosky has pitched 20.0 scoreless innings this season in relief to anchor the back end of Duke's bullpen. The right-hander has limited opponents to a .172 batting average this season, striking out 14 batters while issuing just two walks. Duke's all-time career saves leads, Labosky ranks seventh in the league with six saves this season.
Labosky and the Blue Devils return to action Friday-Sunday, April 27-29 against Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va.
