DURHAM, N.C.—The first installment of the annual coaching clinics is set for Wednesday, October 17 at 7 p.m. The two-hour session is available to all local lacrosse coaches as well as worldwide via GoDuke.com.
The clinics are outstanding teaching tools for youth coaches as well as beginning coaches as the Duke coaching staff of John Danowski, Ron Caputo, Matt Danowski and Ned Crotty all provide insight to the game as well as drills, practice plans and team building exercises for players of all levels.
The staff often starts with talking about various principles of the game and coaching and wraps up the evening with a film review allowing coaches in attendance and those watching online an opportunity to see for themselves the principles, drills, etc., put into action.
Coaches can submit topic ideas or questions via Twitter @DukeMLAX and the coaches will do their best over the course of the four clinics to answer them and cover requested topics.
The clinic begins at 7 p.m., and will be streamed live on GoDuke.com. It is free of charge to all viewers.
Each session will be archived on GoDuke.com by 5 p.m. the following day. A Duke Lacrosse Coaching Clinic YouTube channel is a work in progress and we hope to have that up-and-running soon with all of our clinics in recent years.
