DURHAM, N.C.—Over the past 11 years the Duke men's lacrosse program has developed a close relationship with the Ronald McDonald House in Durham. The Blue Devils regularly cook meals for the families at RMHC as well as participate in holiday gift-wrapping and giving. Recently, head coach John Danowski and the Duke men's lacrosse team committed to sponsor a guest suite at the Ronald McDonald House to assist some of the heroes – the 55 seriously ill children and their families who live on their campus every day.
A guest suite features a bedroom with two double beds, a living room with a television, a pull-out sofa, a table where families can eat as well as a small kitchen with a stove and refrigerator and a washer and dryer. These suites allow for the families to have a place to call home in a very difficult time and also allows space for visitors if necessary.
Your participation in helping Duke lacrosse, who believes strongly in developing the entire person, to helping children heal at this comforting home away from home. Any amount you can donate will be instrumental in reaching our goal.
One hundred percent of your donation goes directly to the Ronald McDonald House and to sponsoring the guest suite.
