Five Blue Devils Listed Among Top 35 ACC Freshmen

DURHAM, N.C. – Perfect Game tabbed five Blue Devils among its list of top ACC freshman as announced by the organization Wednesday.
Left-hander Adam Laskey (No. 5), left-hander Graeme Stinson (No. 13), outfielder Chase Cheek (No. 19), infielder/right-hander Matt Mervis (No. 34) and right-hander Coleman Williams (No. 35) represented Duke in the top 35.
Duke's five selections to the top 35 ranked tied for second in the ACC. North Carolina led all conference schools with eight selections, followed by Duke and NC State with five each.
The Blue Devils add 10 newcomers while returning 23 letterwinners and eight starters from this past season's 33-24 team that earned the program's first NCAA Tournament bid since 1961.
