DURHAM, N.C.— The Duke women's basketball program welcomes three newcomers to the 2016-17 roster as
Leaonna Odom,
Sofia Roma and
Emily Schubert signed with the Blue Devils this past year.
The trio attended second session of summer school and the Blue Devil Network caught up with each of newcomers to get to know them.
The second newcomer we are highlighting is Odom, who is a 6-2 freshman forward from Lompoc, Calif. Odom was the 2016 Daily News All-Area Girls Basketball Co-Player of the Year after averaging 21.5 points, 9.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocks. She competed in the McDonald's All-America game and totaled 10 points and three rebounds. Odom hit the game-winning shot to lead Chaminade to the 2015-16 State Championship, while scoring 33 points.
