DURHAM, N.C. - Classes are in session and the weather is starting to turn. Across the nation, college basketball players are balancing classes and conditioning with an increased workload on the court.
Summer sessions, and the grueling work that comes with them on the court and in the weight room, are in the rearview mirrior.
Fall is a time for focus.
Episode 9: Jayson Tatum
Jayson Tatum has long been one of the most talented players in the 2016 recruiting class. He was named both Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year and Gatorade Male Athlete of the Year after leading Chaminade Prep to a state title as a senior. He also owns three gold medals as a member of the USA Basketball system.
However, that doesn't mean that Tatum doesn't put in the work. Quite the contrary. Tatum was one of several Duke players on campus for both summer sessions in 2016. The long and silky wing from St. Louis dedicated himself in the weight room and on the court, making gains that are sure to help him on the floor this season.
Today, we put the Fall Focus on Jayson Tatum.
