Former Dukies Descend Upon Durham for Alumni Weekend

DURHAM,N.C. –Duke men's lacrosse head coach John Danowski is excited to welcome back over 70 former players for the 2015 Duke Lacrosse Alumni Weekend beginning Friday evening. Alumni ranging from the 1960s to the 2015 graduates will descend upon Durham for a weekend of playing, sharing stories and reliving the glory days.
An alumni function Friday night will kick off the weekend's festivities as they gear up for the game Saturday on the West Campus Turf Fields. The opening game will pit the current Blue Devils versus the recent graduates. Faceoff for that game is scheduled for approximately 1 p.m.
Those former Blue Devils with more “life experience” will square off against each other at 3 p.m. This won't be the first action for some of those alums as a group which called themselves the Gray Devils suited up at a Lake Placid tournament this summer.
Fun is guaranteed to be had by all involved this weekend. Fans are welcome to attend the alumni games to watch, but will have to watch from outside the fence due to safety precautions. Fans who would like to attend can park in the Blue Zone Lots located at the intersection of Duke University Road and Wannamaker Drive. There is no charge to park prior to 4 p.m.
