DURHAM, N.C.—The Duke University men's lacrosse team has been picked to finish fourth in the 2015 ACC Men's Lacrosse Preseason Poll. The announcement comes in conjunction with Inside Lacrosse's release of its annual Face-Off Yearbook.
Notre Dame topped the list with 23 points and three first-place votes, while Syracuse was second with 22 points and two first-place votes. North Carolina (13), Duke (10) and Virginia (7) round out the five-team poll.
In addition to the preseason poll, the ACC announced its Preseason All-ACC Team. Three Blue Devils – Deemer Class, Will Haus and Myles Jones – represent Duke on the 13-man team. North Carolina leads all teams with six selections, while Duke's three picks are the second most.
All three Blue Devils also were preseason All-America choices in the Face-Off Yearbook. Duke was tabbed third in the national preseason poll as well.
Duke returns 32 letterwinners from the 2014 NCAA Championship team and four players from the starting lineup, including first-line midfielders Class and Jones.
The Blue Devils open the season Feb. 7 at High Point. Duke is slated to make its home debut Feb. 8 against Air Force.
