BARCELONA, SPAIN – Sophomore diver Jaimee Gundry competed at the 15th FINA World Aquatics Championships Wednesday, representing South Africa in the women's 10-meter platform event.
Gundry totaled 248.95 points on her list of five dives in Wednesday's preliminary round to finish 27th. Her highest-scoring dive of the day came in the final round, when she earned a score of 64.00 on a back 2 ½ somersault with 1 ½ twists in the pike position for a 3.2 degree of difficulty.
Held every two years, the World Championships for Aquatics feature international competitions in swimming, diving, open water swimming, synchronized swimming and water polo.
