DURHAM, N.C. – Duke University freshman Malinda Allen has stepped in for the Duke women's soccer team in 2013 and seen action in 12 matches, while starting nine at both the midfield and defensive slots. The 6-0 Allen stopped by on Tuesday to talk with GoDuke.com about the season.

Allen, who is out of Memphis, Tenn., recently collected her first collegiate assist against top-ranked Virginia and has started nine straight matches. Duke will next travel to Maryland on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 2:00 p.m.
