Quinzani, Ross Capture MLL Championship

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Former Duke men's lacrosse players Max Quinzani and Brad Ross helped guide the Boston Cannons to the 2011 Major League Lacrosse Championship this afternoon at Navy-Marine Corp Memorial Stadium. Boston defeated the Hamilton Nationals, 10-9, to take home the title.
The title was the second for Ross, who also won the MLL Championship with the Toronto Nationals in 2009, while Quinzani picks up his first title. The Boston Cannons captured their first championship after earning their first MLL playoff victory in the semifinals. Ross provided a goal in the win.
In the semifinal victory over the 2010 MLL Champion Chesapeake Bayhawks, Quinzani netted the game winner in the final second. Ross added a goal in the semifinal as well in the second-half comeback.
