Crotty, an attackman for the Rochester Rattlers, was the league's leading scorer with 29 goals and a league-best 21 assists for 50 points. He earned the honor for the first time after recording at least two points in all 12 games this season. He registered at least one goal in 11 of his 12 outings for the Rattlers. Crotty scored five goals with two assists against Hamilton on June 10 and contributed four goals, including the game-winner, with two assists in a 15-9 victory over Denver on July 23. In two MLL seasons, the former Duke University attackman has scored 40 goals with 34 assists.
In his fourth season in the MLL, Danowski was the fourth leading scorer in the league with 23 goals and 11 assists for 41 points. He led the MLL with seven two-point goals and recorded his second straight 20-goal season to earn his second consecutive All-MLL honor. Danowski scored a goal in all 12 games, including four three-goal performances. He had a season-high five points against Rochester on May 21 and against the Rattlers on July 28. For his career, Danowski has scored 83 goals, including 15 two-point tallies, and 57 assists.
Former Blue Devils in action this weekend at the MLL Championship weekend are Max Quinzani and Brad Ross. Both will help lead the Boston Cannons to the MLL title. The Cannons open the weekend against the Chesapeake Bayhawks on Aug. 27 at 12 p.m., in Annapolis, Md. The winner advances to the championship game on Aug. 28 at 3 p.m. All games are televised by ESPN2.
