Klopp Climbs Into National Rankings

DURHAM, N.C.-Duke University redshirt freshman Bret Klopp has climbed into the WrestlingReport.com national rankings for the 174-pound weight class. Klopp debuts in the No. 32 spot of the weekly poll after starting the dual match season 2-0.

Klopp leads all Blue Devils with a 21-6 record and has registered a team-best 13 pins in his 27 matches. The Lander, Wyo. native garnered his first win over a ranked opponent in his first career dual match as he defeated No. 32 J.C. Oddo of The Citadel. Klopp picked up his second dual win of the year at Davidson with a 10-0 major decision.

Duke (1-1, 0-0 ACC) opens its Atlantic Coast Conference slate on Jan. 18, hosting North Carolina in the Battle of the Blues presented by Continental Tire. The match is set for 7 p.m., in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
