Crotty was the first Blue Devil chosen, going to the Colorado Mammoth with the 11th pick. The 2010 Tewaaraton Trophy winner was the first pick of the second round and was the first player chosen by the Mammoth. Crotty is coming off of a successful rookie season in Major League Lacrosse, in which he was named the MLL Rookie of the Year. He finished with 24 points from 11 goals and 13 assists in seven games with the Chicago Machine.
Quinzani and McKee both were picked up by the Philadelphia Wings. Quinzani went as the No. 20 pick and McKee was chosen in the fifth round at No. 43. The No. 3 and No. 4 choices, respectively, in the MLL draft, both Quinzani and McKee helped lead their teams to the MLL playoffs.
A native of Duxbury, Mass., Quinzani also was in the running for the Rookie of the Year award after compiling 14 goals and five assists for 19 points in seven games for the Boston Cannons.
McKee lined up as a defenseman for the Long Island Lizards in the MLL. He helped guide the squad to the MLL Championship game, leading all defenseman on the team with five points in seven games.
The 2011 NLL season is set to kick off on Jan. 8 with all 10 teams squaring off. The regular season consists of 16 weeks and concludes on April 23. Each team plays a 16-game regular season schedule, with eight home games.
