Coveleski got things started for Poland, tallying five goals and three assists to lead the squad to a 15-11 win over Spain. Poland now will play the Czech Republic in the 13th-place match on July 23 at 12:30 p.m. (EST). Coveleski currently leads the tournament in scoring with 43 points from 35 goals and eight assists.
Greer and Team Canada cruised to a 15-6 victory over Australia to punch its ticket to the gold medal match. Canada remains unbeaten at 6-0 and will battle the United States in title tilt. The Canadians defeated the US squad 11-10 in pool play and are the defending World Champions.
In the final game of the day, the United States scored early and often to beat Japan, 20-5 and advance to the gold medal game. Zash was the lone Blue Devil to score in the game, netting one goal. Runners-up to Canada four years ago, the United States are 5-1 in the tournament with the lone loss coming from its neighbors to the North.
Canada and the United States will battle for the gold medal on Saturday, July 24. The game will be televised by ESPNU at 11 a.m., (EST).
