Canada has emerged unscathed in its first three games, defeating the United States 10-9 and Australia 19-5. Zack Greer was held scoreless against the US squad, but came back to contribute one goal and three assists in the win over the Aussies.
Team Canada takes on Germany in its fourth preliminary game of the tournament on July 19 at 8:30 a.m., EST.
The United States went 1-1 in its two outings, suffering its first loss in preliminary play in the history of the World Championships. Former Blue Devils Matt Zash and Kevin Cassese both chipped in one goal in the narrow setback.
The following day, the United States was firing on all cylinders. Recent Duke graduate Ned Crotty led the way with two goals and two assists for four points, while Zash had one goal and one assist.
In its fourth game of round robin play, the US team will take on England at 2:30 p.m., EST in the main stadium.
