Blue Devils Host Albany Thursday in Cameron... Coming off registering a victory over seventh-ranked Texas A&M, the fifth-ranked Duke women's basketball team (9-0) will host Albany on Thursday, Dec. 9 at 7:00 p.m., in Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Blue Devils look to extend their 12-game home winning streak at home in Cameron.
Fans can catch the game live on the Blue Devil Sports Network with Steve Barnes (PXP) and Morgan Patrick (Color) on the air. Thursday's contest will also be streamed with live video on www.GoDuke.com via GoDuke Inside Access.
The Blue Devils are currently 9-0 and are off to the best start for a

A Look At Albany... Albany enters Thursday with a 6-2 record and is playing its fifth straight road game. The Great Danes have been led by Ebone Henry (15.3 points, 8.5 rebounds), Felicia Johnson (11.6 points, 3.0 rebounds) and Julie Forster (10.3 points, 11.0 rebounds) on the season.
In her first year as a head coach at Albany, Katie Abrahamson-Henderson has guided the Great Danes to an excellent start.
The Series With Albany... Duke and Albany will meet for the first time in school history.
Against teams from the America East Conference, Coach P owns an all-time record of 60-19 -- Boston U. (14-4), Hartford (15-4), Maine (2-0), New Hampshire (14-3) and Vermont (15-8).
Duke Versus the America East Conference... The Blue Devils own a record of 5-1 against teams from the America East Conference -- Boston U. (2-0), Hartford (0-1), Maine (2-0) and New Hampshire (1-0). Coach P is 1-1 against the America East Conference since arriving at Duke. The Blue Devils were upset in the DePaul Invitational against Hartford, 53-51, on Nov. 21, 2008. Last year, Duke downed Maine, 75-34.
Storylines/Other Blue Devil Notes... • The Blue Devils have won 36 straight home games in the month of December. The last loss came on Dec. 20, 1997 against UCLA, 93-83.
• Duke has registered 36 wins out of its last 38 games at home against non-conference foes. Over the last nine years, the Blue Devils have posted a 66-5 overall record against non-conference opponents in Cameron Indoor Stadium. The losses came against Tennessee (2), Connecticut (2) and South Carolina.
• In five road games, freshman
Chelsea Gray is averaging 10.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.4 steals. She has hit 5-of-12 treys.

Jasmine Thomas continues to move up the Duke career scoring list this season as she now ranks tied for 14th with 1,299 points. She needs 13 more to move into a tie for 13th with Payton Black.

Senior Production... So far through nine games, Duke's trio of seniors --

Jasmine Thomas and
Krystal Thomas -- have played huge for the Blue Devils and have been a big part of leading Duke to a 9-0 mark. All three seniors have started every game and have scored 48.2 percent of Duke's points on the year.
The class ranks as one of the most productive senior classes in school history (percentage of scoring). None of the senior classes below, except for 2010-11, featured all three seniors starting every game. The 1998-99 and 2003-04 squads each advanced to the NCAA Final Four.--

Coaches Reunited... Duke University Head Coach
Joanne P. McCallie and Albany Head Coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson will face off against each other for the first time on opposite benches on Thursday. Abrahamson-Henderson served as an assistant coach under McCallie at Michigan State from 2000-02.
Abrahamson-Henderson is off to a 6-2 start in her first year at Albany.
Duke Moves to No. 4 in Coaches Poll... With Duke moving to No. 4 in the USA Today ESPN Coaches Poll on Tuesday, it marks the highest ranking by the coaches poll for Duke since Head Coach
Joanne P. McCallie arrived at Duke prior to the 2007-08 campaign. The Blue Devils were No. 4 in the Associated Press poll for two weeks in 2008-09 and No. 3 for one week that season.
Gray Makes First Collegiate Start... Freshman
Chelsea Gray made her first collegiate start on Monday against seventh-ranked Texas A&M. In the game, she notched 11 points, six rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal in 24 minutes. The 5-11 rookie posted double-digit scoring for the third straight game.
Over the last eight games, Gray has averaged 9.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals in only 18.4 minutes per game.
Gray closed the four-game road swing at Wisconsin by starting the second half and scoring all of her 13 points in the second stanza. At James Madison, Gray came off the bench to post a career-high 15 points, career-high six rebounds and one assist. She hit a career-high two three-pointers in the first half on three attempts.
Over the last three games, Gray is averaging 13.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists.
Gray has hit a three-pointer in seven out of the last eight games and her 16 assists is the second-highest on the Duke squad.
At Home in Cameron Indoor Stadium... Since Head Coach
Joanne P. McCallie took over as head coach at Duke in 2007-08, she has guided the Blue Devils to a 44-4 overall record in Cameron Indoor Stadium. During that stretch, the Blue Devils posted a 14-0 mark in 2008-09, which was only the second undefeated home season in school history.
Duke is currently riding a 12-game winning streak in Cameron and has won 35 out of the last 36 games at home.
In Cameron Indoor Stadium, Duke has won 44 out of the last 48 contests, 58 out of the last 62 and 139 out of the last 149 games since 2000-01.
Big Wins... Over the last three years in Cameron Indoor Stadium, Duke is 4-1 against teams ranked in the top 10. The Blue Devils defeated third-ranked Ohio State, third-ranked Stanford, ninth-ranked North Carolina and seventh-ranked Texas A&M, while falling to No. 1 Connecticut.
In her four years at Duke, Head Coach
Joanne P. McCallie has registered 13 victories against ranked opponents in Cameron Indoor Stadium, including five in the top 10.
Krystal Thomas Playing Big... Blue Devil senior
Krystal Thomas had one of the biggest games of her career at Charlotte as she notched 10 points, a career-high 14 rebounds and a career-high eight blocked shots. She backed that performance up with her second straight double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds at James Madison. Thomas registered eight points, nine rebounds and two blocks against seventh-ranked Texas A&M in the last game.
The double-doubles were the first two of the season and the eighth and ninth of her career. Her eight blocked shots at Charlotte ties for third most in school history.
It marks the first time since the 2008-09 season that a Blue Devil has notched back-to-back double-doubles.
Chante Black registered four straight during her senior year in 2008-09.
Thomas' 27 rebounds in the two games is also the most since Black pulled down 31 boards in back-to-back games in 2008-09.
Tough Road Ahead... The Blue Devils are going through a very challenging schedule that features three games against opponents ranked in the top 10 out of six contests. Duke is coming off a 61-58 victory against seventh-ranked Texas A&M with fourth-ranked Xavier and eighth-ranked Kentucky approaching. Duke does have all three games at home in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Oklahoma State is also receiving votes in the Associated Press poll, which Duke travels to next.
Off the Bench... After only netting 11 points off the bench against BYU, the Blue Devils responded with 34 points off the bench versus Southern California, 33 at Auburn, 37 points versus Western Kentucky and a season-high 44 at Pittsburgh. Duke struggled with only 15 bench points at Charlotte, but had 24 at James Madison and came back with 33 at Wisconsin.
On This Date... Duke owns an all-time record of 3-2 in games played on Dec. 9 over the history of the program. Duke was upset in the most recent game at Clemson in 2000 by a score of 75-93. Alana Beard led the fifth-ranked Blue Devils with 18 points in the loss. Duke defeated Geno Auriemma's Connecticut Huskies, 83-69, in the 1988 VCU Classic in Richmond, Va., handing them the first loss of the season. Sue Harnett and Leigh Morgan led the Blue Devils with 18 a piece.
