Former Lacrosse Player Running for a Good Cause

DURHAM, N.C.-Former Duke University men's lacrosse player Matt Breuer is running in the 2010 New York City Marathon in memory of former Blue Devil lacrosse player Jimmy Regan. Breuer will run the 26.2 miles to raise funds for the Fallen Rangers fund, which assists the families of Army Rangers who were killed or disabled.

A 1993 graduate of Duke, Breuer is running to raise money for the Lead the Way Fund, a non-profit organization established to raise funds for families of Army Rangers who were killed or disabled. The Lead the Way Fund was created in honor of Sgt. James J. Regan '02, a former Duke lacrosse player, who was killed in action in Iraq.
