DURHAM, N.C.—The Duke University men's lacrosse team landed 12 student-athletes on the All-ACC Academic team for the third consecutive year to lead all four teams. The next closest school had seven honorees. Candidates for the award must have maintained a 3.0
grade point average for their career as well as a 3.0 for each of the last two semesters.
Mike Catalino, Gibbs Fogarty, Zach Howell, Chris Loftus, Ryan McFadyen, Parker McKee, Sam Payton, Max Quinzani, Brad Ross, Steve Schoeffel, Rob Schroeder and Justin Turri represented the Blue Devils on the 28-member All-ACC Academic squad.
Catalino captured his fourth consecutive honor to become on the first four-time selection in the history of the honor. Quinzani was one of three student-athletes to earn both All-Conference and All-Academic recognition.
Earning the award for the third consecutive season are Loftus, McKee, Payton, Quinzani, Ross and Schoeffel. McFadyen and Howell garnered a spot for the second time in their careers, while Schroeder and Turri notched the award for the first time.
