"I was proud of how our guys played the last four or five holes, we played them better then yesterday," head coach Jamie Green said. "We just couldn't get a few scores going under-par. We are looking forward to one more day of competition; these guys are ready for it."
No. 13 Oregon State and No. 21 Tennessee finished the second day of action tied at the top with identical scores of 9-under 567. Virginia (No. 26) is third with a four-under 572, while Missouri (E, 576) and Virginia Tech (+1, 577) round out the top five.

"Brinson [Paolini] hung in there well and made some birdies coming in to shoot even-par," coach Green said. "On this course, anything even-par or better is good score."
Freshman Julian Suri delivered a two-over 74 in the second round. He carded 14 pars and two birdies (No. 6 & No. 11) on the day but also suffered a pair of bogeys and a double-bogey on No. 9. Suri, a native of St. Augustine, Fla., is tied for 44th with a five-over 149.
