With The Duke Victory:
? Joanne P. McCallie improved to 26-9 all-time in league tournament action (North Atlantic, America East, Big Ten and ACC).
? Moved its record to 23-4 all-time in the Greensboro Coliseum and 21-3 in ACC Tournament action in the coliseum.
? Improved to 3-1 against No. 6 seeds in the ACC Tournament.
? Broke a string of two straight ACC Tournament semifinal losses to Maryland and N.C. State.
? Will next play in the ACC Tournament Championship game on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. against North Carolina.
? Will take on UNC in the title game for the seventh time in school history (4-2 record).
? Improved to 4-4 all-time in the ACC Tournament against No. 2 seeds, including four straight wins.
? Snapped a two-game losing streak in postseason action to Maryland.
? Improved its record to 4-7 this season against ranked opponents.
? Moved its all-time record in the ACC Tournament semifinals to 9-5.
? Will play in the ACC Championship for the ninth time in school history (5-3 record). Advanced to the ACC Championship game in seven out of the last nine years.
? Will play for its sixth ACC Championship (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004).
? Head Coach Joanne P. McCallie won her first career game against Maryland, after falling in her first four games.
Junior Chante Black
? Was in foul trouble early and played only four minutes of action in the first half. She did not score or get a rebound.
? Finished the contest with a season-low two points and two rebounds in 15 minutes.
Junior Abby Waner
? With her five three-pointers attempted, moved into third place on Duke's single-season three-pointers attempted list (164).
? Dished out five assists and now has 12 assists in two games in the ACC Tournament.
Sophomore Joy Cheek
? Registered double-figure scoring against a ranked opponent for the first time this season (11th game).
? Hit her 10th career three-pointer and eight of those have come at home in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
? Tied a career high with five steals.
? Finished the game with 16 points, eight rebounds and five steals in a career-high 34 minutes.
? Posted double-figure scoring 16th time this season and 22nd time in her career.
? Her 16 points is the second-most points she has ever scored in a Duke uniform.
Senior Wanisha Smith
? Tied a career high with 22 points as she hit 4-of-6 field goals.
? Started her 115th career game at Duke moving her into a tie with Georgia Schweitzer for fifth place.
? Hit three three-pointers in the first half, marking the first time since the first contest at Maryland on Jan. 14. She had not hit more than one three-pointer in 11 straight games.
? Her four three-pointers were the second-most she has hit in a game this season.
? Posted double-figure scoring for the 11th time this season and the 58th time in her career.
Freshman Jasmine Thomas
? Made her second straight start in the ACC Tournament and 16th of her career.
? Finished the game with nine points, three rebounds, and one assist in 28 minutes.
Other Duke Notes:
? Played as the lower seed in an ACC Tournament game for only the second time out of the last 28 ACC Tournament games.
? Led 35-33 at the half, marking the first time this season the Blue Devils have led at the half against the Terrapins (41-33 at Durham, 43-32 in College Park).
? After hitting 16-of-17 free throws in the first half the night before against Florida State, the Blue Devils were 0-of-2 from the line in the first half versus Maryland.
? Totaled a season-low 10 turnovers in the game.
? Was outrebounded, 40-34, for the game.
? Held a 16-5 advantage in bench points.
? Totaled a 36-24 points in the paint lead.
? Hit 11-of-19 free throws for a 57.9 percentage.
