DURHAM, N.C. -- Junior attackman Zack Greer picked up ACC Co-Player of the Week honors after helping the Blue Devils to season-opening victories over Dartmouth and Denver this past weekend. Greer shared the accolade with North Carolina's Shane Walterhoefer.
In the 17-11 victory over Dartmouth on Saturday, Greer posted six goals and two assists, matching his career single-game best output for total points. The next afternoon in a 13-9 triumph over Denver, Greer had two goals and three assists.
One of just 33 players in Duke lacrosse history to amass 100 or more career points, Greer ranks 28th on the school's all-time scoring chart with 109 points on 82 goals and 27 assists. He currently leads the ACC in points per game (6.50) and goals per game (4.00) while ranking second in assists per game (2.50).
The Blue Devils travel to face Maryland on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised live by ESPNU.
