Former Duke standout Matt Zash and his Philadelphia Barrage teammates will play for the Major League Lacrosse championship on Sunday afternoon against the Denver Outlaws. Face-off is set for 5 p.m. (EDT) at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., and the game will be televised by ESPN2.
The Barrage advanced to the title tilt with a 17-12 win over Boston while Denver used a 23-14 victory over San Francisco to reach Sunday's championship.
Two other former Blue Devils -- Kyle Dowd and Ryan Marshall -- played for the San Francisco squad that advanced to the semifinals, with Dowd recording two goals and one assist in the loss to Denver. Dowd, a third round pick in the 2006 MLL Draft, received the league's Rookie of the Week honor back on August 14.
