Alan Duncan joined the Duke University Athletic Training staff in July of 2008 and works primarily with the men’s soccer and wrestling teams. Duncan arrived at Duke after spending two seasons at Furman University in Greenville, S.C. where he served as the athletic trainer for men’s soccer, baseball, cross country, track and field. Prior to Furman, he was the Head Athletic Trainer as a GA at Benedict College in Columbia, S.C.
Originally from Greenock, Scotland, Duncan earned a B.S. degree in health science with an emphasis in athletic training at James Madison University in 2002. He completed his master’s degree in physical education with an emphasis in Sports Medicine at the University of South Carolina in 2006, where he worked with the cross country, track and field teams.
