2018-19: Duke’s starter at 157 pounds … NCAA qualifier … Posted a 7-14 overall record … Went 5-6 in tournament action and 2-8 in dual matches … Took eighth at the Southern Scuffle … Upset the No. 6 seed Kolby Ho of George Mason at the Southern Scuffle … Six of his setbacks came against top 20 opponents … Pinned Virginia’s Jake Keating in the first period to qualify for the NCAA Championships as a redshirt freshman … Recorded his second fall of the season in his opening match at the NCAA Championships … NWCA Scholar All-American … All-ACC Academic Team … ACC Academic Honor Roll.

Before Duke: Four-year letterwinner at Pleasant Grove High School ... Utah State Champion all four years and four different weights - 106 lbs., 120 lbs., 132 lbs and 152 lbs ... A four-time NHSCA All-American in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 ... Garnered Fargo Cadet Freestyle All-America honors in 2014 ... Placed at the Walsh Ironman and Powerade tournaments as a junior in 2014 ... Also placed at the 2015 Beast of the East and the 2016 Doc Buchanan ... 2016 Utah Freestyle state champion ... Team captain his junior and senior years and led his high school to four consecutive team state wrestling titles ... Voted four times as a Utah High School All-Star and was selectec as the Wrestler of the Year in 2016 ... A UHSAA Academic All-State choice and NHSCA Academic All-America selection ...
