Davie Romer joined Duke Athletics in June 2022 and serves as Associate Director of Game Operations, Championships & Events.
In this role, Davie is the primary game operations manager for women’s soccer, men’s soccer, women’s lacrosse and men’s lacrosse.
Davie came to Duke from Texas A&M University, where she served as Facilities, Events & Construction Assistant. While in College Station, she provided oversight of facility presentation, event setup, operation, and breakdown of the Aggie's entire events calendar, as well as hiring and training a roster of 40 student workers. While contributing to the day-to-day operations and game days at Kyle Field, the fourth largest stadium in the country, Davie was also the facility manager for Davis Diamond, which is considered one of softball's most elite facilities in the nation.
Prior to Texas A&M, Romer came from Molloy University, where she worked as a graduate assistant in Athletic Facilities and Operations. During her time in Rockville Centre, Davie managed the internal day-to-day operations, including setup and breakdown of operations for all 19 NCAA Division II athletic programs. As a Lion, Romer was chosen as a participant in the 2021 Emerging Leaders Seminar led by the NCAA.
Before her stint at Molloy University, Romer worked for St. Joseph’s University in Patchogue, New York. For two years Romer managed the operations of a 48,250 square-foot indoor facility and 4.8-acre outdoor complex. She also assisted with event operations, outside rental contracts and coordination of facility schedules across St. Joseph’s athletics portfolio.
A native of Hampton Bays, New York, Romer graduated from St. John’s University in May 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management and a minor in Business. Davie is currently working towards her Master's in Business Administration degree from Molloy University.
