Gianturco, an ACC finalist and All-East selection in 2002, ran the third and fifth fastest indoor 800’s for Duke in 2002.As a sophomore outdoors in 2001, Gianturco qualified for the ACC 800-meter final with a 1:54.54 clocking.He lowered that outdoor best to 1:54.26 in 2002 and ran an even faster relay split of 1:54.1 indoors on the 2002 IC4A Indoor 4X800-meter relay that clocked a 7:35.74, good enough for fourth all-time indoors.That relay collected All-East honors with its performance in the finals.
