Davis is the latest pole vaulter to join the Duke stable, and by the end of his freshman year the Texas native had qualified for the IC4A Outdoor Championships and earned a tie for the No. five ranking all-time at Duke outdoors with a personal best of 15-9. That vault came during a third place finish at the UNC Last Chance meet.His indoor best of 15-03.25 came during the Last Chance Meet at Virginia Tech, where Davis tied for sixth place.
