The school record holder in the discus (136-5) improved on her hammer throw in 2002 to 154-2, the second-best all-time performance at Duke in that event. After spending three years as an understudy to school weight throw and hammer record holder Kim Hanauer, now it is Stone’s turn as a senior to lead the Duke throws corp. A mere six-feet shy of Hanauer in the hammer, Ginny is just a Stone’s throw away from being a school record-holder in multiple throwing events.
