Junior: Duke’s cross country MVP for 2005, Krieger saved his best for the team’s two final meets, leading the Blue Devil’s as their number one man at both the NCAA Southeast Regional, where Duke placed 4th, and the IC4A Championships, where Duke brought home it’s first IC4A title in school history ... at the Southeast Regional, Krieger dropped 34 seconds from his effort at the same meet on the same course one year before, clocking 30:23 for 10,000 meters to place 10th and earn All-Southeast Region honors ... Keith was just three places removed from an NCAA Championships individual berth ... one week later, he clocked 25:14 on the famed Van Cortland Park five-mile course to place 5th at the IC4A and lead Duke to the team title, earning All-East honors in cross country ... Krieger also ran as the No. 1 man for Duke at the Notre Dame Invite, clocking 24:30 on the quick South Bend course ... indoors, Kreiger lowered his 5000m personal best to 14:28.54 at the IC4A Championships in Boston, fastest 5000m of the year among Duke runners in 2006 and fifth-fastest in Duke history ... did not compete outdoors in 2006 ...
Sophomore: First Duke runner in a quarter century to break 30 minutes for 10,000 meters, he opened his outdoor season with a 29:53.85 effort over 25 laps of the Stanford track in Palo Alto ... his only other 10K attempt in 2005 was hampered by blister problems at the ACCs, where he hung on to eighth place to score for the Blue Devils ... ran the four fastest Duke 5000m undercover, including a PB 14:37.34 to place 11th at the IC4A indoor meet ... placed eighth at the ACC indoor 5K ... opened his season with a third-place finish over 3000m in Chapel Hill, running an indoor PB of 8:41.74 ... at the IC4A Outdoor meet, he lowered his 5000m PB to 14:26.51, placing 11th ... in cross country, had his finest harrier season to date, earning All-Southeast Region Honors with his finish at the NCAA Regional meet in Greenville, NC ... ran third man for Duke most of the season and was elected co-captain for the 2005 Blue Devil team ...
Freshman: Named the team’s freshman of the year for both the cross country and outdoor seasons ... consistently one of Duke’s top four runners in the fall ... the Blue Devils’ second-best performer at the Great American Cross Country Festival ... ran 25:26 for 8k at Notre Dame ... owned Duke’s top time in the indoor 5000m, as he finished eighth at the ACC Championships with a mark of 14:59.76 ... an IC4A runner-up in the outdoor 10k, running an impressive time of 30:13.93 ... also led the team in the 5k outdoors with an IC4A-qualifying mark of 14:26.94 ...
Prep: Runner-up in the New Jersey All-Groups Cross Country Championship as a senior ... finished 12th in the Footlocker Northeast Regional Cross Country Championships ... ran 3200m in 9:17.19 and owned a 10,000m best of 30:57 on the track.
