Prior to Duke: Began collegiate career at California, qualifying for NCAAs in 2022 and 2023, with a 2023 Pac-12 bronze in the 200 back, and a 2022 A finalist in the 400 IM; also earned Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll and CSCAA Scholar All-America recognition… Won 200 butterfly in dual meet at San Jose State and 200 back at UC San Diego… ACC Academic Honor Roll and CSCAA Scholar All America…First Women on the Cal Women’s Swimming team to graduate with a degree in Bioengineering.
High School: Competed for Spartanburg High School and Y-Spartaquatics Swim Club… U.S. Olympic Trials Wave I qualifier in 2021… Ten-time South Carolina state champion, including six in relays, two wins in the 100 butterfly, plus victories in the 100 back (2019) and 200 IM (2020)… Set four state records at the 2020 meet (100 fly, 200 IM, 200 medley relay, 400 free relay)… NISCA All-American and four-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American… Selected for the 2019 USA Swimming National Select Camp at the Olympic Training Center… Placed third in the 200m breast and fifth in the 400m IM at 2019 Speedo Junior Nationals… Ranked 53rd globally (U18) in the 200m breast… Top HS times include 1:02.01 (100 breast), 2:10.44 (200 breast), 53.04 (100 fly), 1:57.45 (200 fly), 1:59.29 (200 IM), 4:12.94 (400 IM)… Comes from a family of collegiate athletes, including father Sean (Marquette track & field), mother Gretchen (Boston University women’s basketball), and sisters Kirsti (Stanford swimming) and Teagan (Vermont swimming).
