Savannah Pola joined the Duke softball staff in August 2026 and serves as the program's director of operations.
Pola joins the Blue Devils after five years with the UCLA softball program, four as a player and one as a graduate assistant. She also served as the gameday operations and equipment intern for the Orange County Riptide, a summer collegiate baseball organization that competes from June to August.
Following her decorated career as a Bruin, Pola continued to work for the program as a graduate assistant during the 2026 season. She supported the coaching staff with planning, player development, game preparation and administrative tasks while pursuing her master's degree in transformative coaching & leadership.
A native of Santa Ana, Calif., Pola saw action in 233 career games, earning 222 starts, primarily at second base and as the designated player. Pola also earned a starting spot in the Bruins' outfield in 65 games. The 2025 NFCA Third Team All-American posted a career .350 batting average (239-for-683), .422 on-base percentage and .517 slugging percentage. She closed out her collegiate career with 135 RBI, 159 runs scored, 16 home runs, and 50 doubles, which sits tied for seventh on UCLA's all-time charts.
Pola earned numerous accolades throughout her career, including three NFCA All-West Region honors, two All-Pac-12 Third Team awards, All-Big Ten First Team recognition, a top 25 finalist for NFCA Freshman of the Year and Pac-12 All-Freshman Team distinction.
